Colours can be very deceptive and even though you may have tried some test pots at home, it can be very hard to visualize the end result without some help. Most colours will have an underlying slant that isn’t always noticeable until the whole room is painted or sometimes they don’t quite gel with other colours or furnishings in the same space.

With 20 years of experience in design, decorative painting and consulting, Jackie can help you avoid common mistakes (which can be costly) and ensure that the end result is stunning, practical and feels right for you.

Colour Palette Packages

If you are renovating or planning a new build, Jackie has created a series of colour palettes that will give you a beautiful and timeless colour scheme to work with. These are an alternative to engaging a Colour Consultant.

These packs are a culmination of many years of experience and a passion for colours. You can use them with confidence throughout the home or perhaps choose just one or two of the colours for the walls and take ideas from the remaining colours for furnishings and accents. Jackie can also advise on beautiful fabrics to go with these if needed.

A lot of time has been taken to source colours from the extensive Resene Ranges that are interesting and complex from soft whites to brooding deeper tones. Some brighter colour pops are carefully intermixed assuring a co-ordinated selection that will elevate your surroundings. You can always ask Jackie for advice on where to use them and can build on the ideas with your own additions. Don’t worry about trends or what’s current, think about places you are drawn too and why they make you feel good. Often you will find the use of darker colours (in certain areas) will affect your mood and make you feel relaxed, just like being in a flash hotel.

Influences are from European, Scandi and Japanese design ethics where colours from nature and natural materials take pride of place. Time worn surfaces and patinas can add a touch of nostalgia and history to a modern environment. To achieve this, each colour pack contains advice on specialist products and effects for your own bespoke touches. You’ll be surprised how much difference this can make and how easily it can be achieved.
